Pick of the week

I am honoured that my new release Abigail Cottage has been named Pick of the week by thriller writer Lorrie Struiff

Check it out!!

Abigail Cottage

When Abigail falls in love with Justin she can’t begin to know the world of hurt she is heading into. Gorgeous, kind, rich – he’s the man we all dream to meet. BUT, all is not what it seems because Justin is a true demon from hell, disguised as a mortal being. He wants her and will do, kill or maim anyone who tries to stop him. Namely Shaun the real hero, who wants Abigail more! So what does a mortal man do against a demon? He enlists the help of a gypsy of course. But not any old gypsy. Rosa knows Justin very well and has the powers of the spirit world on her side to fight him. Using crystals as a powerful weapon, the light of the spirit world to lead them, they embark on a battle with the whole of the underworld. Many loved ones will lose their lives. This isn’t a book where everyone survives. In real life, bad things happen. In Abigail Cottage, terrible tragedies occur too. Believe... not every story can have a happy ending.

Halloween

Many thanks to the new followers whose names are in a hat, to be picked out,as we speak and to the old followers, your names are in a paranormal box, where one of you will win the gift inside it....eeeek, be prepared for a surprise!!!!

So I managed to interview Justin the demon from my next release Abigail Cottage. It was dangerous but I had to do it. With Halloween lurking on the periphery of our vision, who is afraid? Halloween is also known as Samhain, Summer’s End, All Hallow’s Eve, Witches Night, Lamswool, and Snap-Apple.

The word itself, "Halloween," origionated within in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" or "All Saints Day, which is a Catholic day of observance in honour of saints. But, in the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31. The holiday was called Samhain , the Celtic New year. Wherever it came from Halloween is now celebrated in United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden...pwew, the list is endless.

It’s said that on Halloween night, the spirits of all those who have died throughout the preceding year will come back in search of living bodies to possess for the next year. All laws of space and time are suspended, allowing the doorway to this world and the next to open up. My question is... would you dare to step though it? What would you expect to see? Is the spirit world the same as here? Do demons exist? It is said ‘Hell’ is of your own making and there is no specific place. Your thoughts and actions make up your own private hell, living or otherwise.

Fact

"Jack's lanterns" were originally made from turnips. But when the immigrants came to America, they found that pumpkins were far more plentiful. So the Jack-O-Lantern in America became a hollowed-out pumpkin, lit with an ember instead

Fiction

Sit and look into a mirror with a candle burning beside you and you will see your future husband. What you are actually doing is ‘Scrying’ and the only face you will see are from the dead and departed.

Leave a comment about what you would expect to see spirit side. You could receive something really spooky if you win the prize draw.

  1. I do not believe in the concept of heaven and hell, per se. I believe that we stay in this world, in a new form, which I guess you can consider reincarnation, except I'm not sure you're guaranteed to come back as a person. I believe everything in the universe is made of the same stuff, we are all connected by energy. Consider the atom - it appears solid to the touch, but it isn't. It's all energy. Therefore we come back as a different energy. But I also believe that there are other worlds than our own, parallel universes and times, which may mirror our own. I think the possibilities are endless and fascinating, and food for thought.

  2. I hope to find all of my loved ones! They say that hell is here on earth. Is that correct? Whose to really say nobody truly knows. Just keep your mind open and you have to believe that something great is waiting on the other side. Because who wants to live the rest of eternity in a black hole? Not me!

  3. Not quite sure what's on the other side but I'm hopeful it's good. I definitely believe in good and evil and I just hope that good is on the other side of the veil. Jillian

  4. I'm not sure if there is or isn't a spiritual realm. If there is, when I open the door to the other side, I expect to see those who have gone on before me. And believe me, a few are going to get slaps upside the head from me. lol.

  5. I've always thought that if you see anything when scrying would be your own nature. If you expect to see evil, you are seeing that side of yourself. If you see a passed loved one, you are seeing your own memory of them.

  6. Not always Lulilut.
When you scy you are taking a peek into the otherside. You may see spirit people, places, animals, but thy will all be spirit side of life. When we scry in my development circle, we ask our guides to come forward. It's quite facinating what you can see.

  7. I would like to believe there is more to death than just dying. We live, we gather knowledge, some become great scholers, surely all that isn't for nothing. I don't think so. I think death is the begining of a whole new journey.
